Maintenance / 69 z28 clutch pedal adjustment?
« on: September 08, 2009, 01:49:51 PM »
Is there some way of adjusting the clutch pedal height? maybe this is normal but the clutch pedal is alot closer to the driver than the brake pedal. aren't the clutch and brake pedal supposed to be somewhat even?

Thanks, Jon

Maintenance / 69 z28 dash, black and yellow wires
« on: September 08, 2009, 01:42:27 PM »
Hello,

I have a 69 z28 without factory console and the tach in the dash. I know where all the wires go in the main dash harness except a pair of wires, one is black and the other is yellow. I have to beleive it is for the radio somehow because it's the only thing that doesnt have a plug with the exception of a pair of wires one purple and the other is i think pink? these are (i was told) for the neutral safety switch? the yellow and black seem to be around 18 to 20 gauge and the others maybe 12 gauge.

any help would be great!!

General Discussion / my z28's history?
« on: September 08, 2009, 12:09:05 AM »
My question is:
is there some way of tracing the history and ownership of my 69 norwood x33 z28? I would love to know what dealership it came from, history of the car and what happened along the way to several of the parts from it that i would love to be able to buy back or at least track down. I know they raced it and that is why it only had 46,000 miles on it. I purchased the car from a person in boca raton florida but am unsure if there has been more than one owner. It was my dream to own a car like this and knowing some of the history would make it complete.
thought maybe someone had been down this road before and would have some good ideas or advice.

Jon

Originality / Re: 69 x33 console delete?

Thanks Mark, yes it did have headers. I was confused at the lack of a console plug which according to william was not that uncommon for the z28 in 69.

Thanks again for your help!!

Originality / 69 x33 console delete?
« on: September 04, 2009, 12:17:04 AM »
Hello,

I have used this forum for many of my questions regarding my 69 x33 z28 restoration project, but have run across something that I need help with. While the answer may be obvious to you folks, here's my question:
I have no console plug in my main dash harness!! the harness is complete and intack except a pink, light green, black and yellow wire. while I am unsure yet where they go, am sure they don't feed the console. all the 69 z28's i have seen have consoles in them. I have the dash tach with the center fuel gauge. was there such a thing as a console delete for my car or is this quite common or am I just overlooking something obvious?

Thanks,

Jon
