Thanks.
I will check this tomorrow. Sure acts like I have the connector on the amp gauge plugged in wrong.

It has been awhile since I installed the console so is it possible the plug connection on the back of the gauge is plugged in wrong? Needs to be flipped? If this might be the issue, will the gauge cluster come out without removing the enitre console?
Thanks

Just ran out to the shop and checked. Battery connected everything in the off position the gauge is at 0. Turn the headlamps on and the gauge goes positive instead of negative?

Restoration / 1969 Amp gauge problem
« on: September 07, 2013, 12:49:02 AM »
Hey guys.
Need some advice here. Hope I am posting in the correct section.  I am trying to finish up on my 1969 Z and just got the engine fired up in the car after a complete teardown and body off restoration of everything and noticed the amp gauge is reading negative ? OER Console and gauge package, new dash, engine, and forward lighting harnesses. All other console and dash gauges are working correctly. Any and all help or hints would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys. I also talked with someone at Rick's and he said that the only difference was the length of the shaft. I asked him to measure one of his reproduced regulators and he said the shaft length was 1  1/4 inches long measured from the bearing housing.
Does this sound right ?

Restoration / 1969 Deluxe Interior window regulators
« on: November 29, 2009, 07:56:33 PM »
Hey guys.

In the process of restoration, and thought maybe someone here could tell me what the difference is between a standard and deluxe interior window regulator ?.
My car is coded to have the deluxe interior, but someone has installed the standard door opening mechanizims, and I am not sure if the regulators have been changed. Am I right in thinking that the deluxe regulators would have longer shafts for the window crank to attach too ?. If so, how do I tell what I have currently?.
Thanks

Originality / Trim code 712
« on: June 03, 2009, 12:52:45 AM »
What does the trim code of 712 stand for on a 1969 car?. Am I right in thinking that it was the comfort weave seats ? Would the door panels be deluxe or standard?

Thanks in advance

The rear code is as follows:

BT 0415 G
      E

Cannot hardly make out the date code but it looks like  B80   But that does not look right,.....right ?

Thanks

I will get the complete rear code tonight.  You say the M/C is not correct?. Is the valve layout below it correct ?

Thanks

About forgot, the speedo cable looks as though it entered right next to the accelerator lever.

Thanks

Hey John. I checked what you asked for.

It does have the welded plate approx. 3 x 5 with what looks like a small hanger with 2 bolts holding it on. It is on the outboard rail, drivers side.

It does not have the prop. valve in line with the rear brake line

The tach redlines at 6000 and total grads to 7000

Thanks
