My 68 Camaro RS 327 / 275 with factory AC,Auto, has the 7 blade fan 3931002.I believe it is the original to the Camaro. My car was mostly original and unrestored when I purchased it years ago.

I used these guys when I shipped my Camaro from the Great State of GA. to the Great State of PA..
Great personalized service at a fair price.I plan on using them when the car is complete and ready to ship back to GA.

Restoration / Re: a/c compressor restoration

I had what they called a restoration on my O.E. condinser.
Which consisted of pressure check, straighten fins, and refinish.

What I got was a pressure check and what looks like rattle can paint and very little to no fin restoration !

I am glad I did not send my whole A/C system for restoration !

Here  is a pic , Make your own opinion !

I was not pleased at all with the Quality or lack of Quality with the before mentioned vendor.

I would recommend finding another a/c restoration vendor.

Just my opinion !

Since all the aluminum was anodized from the factory and when most Camaro's are restored the aluminum trim is polished,What would be correct for a Judged points car?
Polished and Sealed or,
Anodized as it was from factory or,
Either?

General Discussion / Dual Exaust or Single Exhaust ?
« on: October 10, 2010, 09:08:00 PM »
Trying to determine which exhaust my 1968 Camaro RS came from the factory with,As usually the original factory Exhaust is long gone and had been replaced with headers and after market mufflers and dual pipes.
I am doing a complete restoration and returning it back to factory specs.
The restoration shop raised the question about the exhaust ,single or dual exhaust.
I do not have the factory build sheet to know what it came factory with.
Would the block numbers (327/275) indicate anything,or what about the Trim Tag ,V.I.N.
I have looked in the AIM and can't totally make sense of it.I have been told that certain holes in the rear frame rails can determine which exhaust it came with.
Any feed back would be greatly Appreciated.
