I have a 1968 z28 302,    i was checking numbers on my harmonic balencer ,    8 inch diameter  it has a J7  stamping    maybe sept 1967?   does this sound correct for a  03c car?   thanks for any input.

The strips are so faint,   the look white to me.   thanks.

1968 z28 ,   norwood,  03c,   302,   muncie m20,  49.96 length,    ubolt and nut design,   bu-0214-g1 axle stamp,   2 strips about 12 down from top,  staggered alignment.

Dont know for sure,   but my 03c  68 z28  has a 12-7-67 dated intake,   i was on there when i bought in 1984

The date code on my 68 is on the drivers side upper corner near the weatherstrip corner.

Restoration / 302 FACTORY ROCKER ARMS

I was  checking in my gm parts book about 302 factory rocker arms  part#3974290  it states that the rocker arms have a  "V" stamped at the end of rocker.      i recently saw some on ebay that sold  and they had a "O"  stamped at the end of the rocker.   does anyone know the diffrence?   thanks for any input.

I got rid of original carb many years back,   and i'm looking for replacement?   my 68 z28 is an 03c date.  how many weeks should i go back on date?    is early jan to early        thanks

Restoration / 68 z28 gas tank

i need some opinions on replacing my original dated gas tank, which has many small dents and probably some rust inside.  should i try to restore the original or i have the option to buy an original 3912377 gm tank in the box for 250.00?  help me out guys.  thanks

Paid 5000.00 in 1983 for 1968 z28 all original , that was alot back in those days.

Decoding/Numbers / Decode 5679142 manual steering box

I was trying to decode a manual steering box i picked up.  maybe you guys can help me ?    i see the box number 5679142   there is an 8 above that and   a 199 below that,  I guess the 8 is the year and 199 is the julian day.  but what does the a2048 stamp mean?     thanks for any input.   vince

Just checked my 1968 z28 03c norwood and it is stamped on left front flange witch a 68  34    hope this helps

would anyone know if i can take front seats from a 69 camaro, take the head rest and mount off   and put 68 cushions and covers on it and make it look original ,   or maybe someone could tell me  the height of the back part of the seat on a 68 camaro    thanks alot
