These '68 woodgrain ash trays keep getting more expensive every couple of months.

this used one just sold for $228.01.

I guess I'll just keep the black one that's in my car...

Small world Hank,  I'm from Westwood, MA too.
You might have seen me driving around town in my '68 Camaro black with white stripes.

It's funny but a couple of years ago at a Patriots tailgate a friend of a friend was there and I think his name was Bob Jackson.  Not sure where he was from or what he did for work.
email me if you remember a description of what he looked like and I'll let you know if it's the same perosn.  It is a pretty common name though.

good luck and let us know how your search goes.

I hate to see anyone get swindled..

Patrick

I'm looking for a woodgrain ashtray for my '68 Camaro...   Been watching eBay and the prices seem to keep going up.  There is one on there now with 1 bid and a starting price of $160.00.

Looking at Ricks' Fall/Winter 2007 catalog this morning I noticed on page 34 they offer a '68 dash ashtray, woodgrain.  There is no price and they're not open today.  Anyone know what these are going for and if someone is finally reproducing them?

here's the info.

can you tell me what the 160 stands for in:    TYU - 1977 350/160 with manual transmission  ?

is it 160HP?

It feels like it has a lot more power than that when driving it.

I just went down and checked it again.  The secone 1 is defenitely a 1 which matches the other 1's on the vin.
I looked at it every way to see if I could make an L out of it but it doesn't appear to have any letters.

I'm not sure if it is a VIN but this number is stamped directly above it..   101515705

I just checked the numbers on my 68 Camaro transmission.  The maincase casting is 3925660.  Can someone help me decode it?   The stamped # is P0M08A ?   Any help would be greatly appreaciated.   My guess is it's a Muncie M20, 4-speed, August 8, 1968

Let me know,

Patrick
