General Discussion / Re: Hot Rod Power Tour 2007

There were several cars in your lot. (Camaros and others) We got in line to get into the venue at about 5pm and then took about an hour to get in.  The weather cleared up right when we got there.  We had an awesome time and my '68 ran flawlessly for 3k miles.  The HRPT it is an awesome experience, I have done three years in a row and hope to never miss one in the future.

Dave the tour is coming this monday to racine. It is going to be down by the lake front. The route is taking them off  I94 right down Hwy 11 right past my shop. I have a few friends coming over to the shop with there cars and we are going to watch the cars come in then head downtown after. You are more them welcome to come by and watch with us. Bring your car.

For any of the other CRG members stop by on your way through. My shop is 2.3 miles east of I94 on Hwy 11 go over the railroad tracks and take a left. I'm right next to the railroad tracks. You'll see my camaros plus a few other old cars parked out front. I'll have plenty of cold drinks and some snack food. And if you are having any troubles the shop is open for power tour cars only that day.

Mike

Hey Mike,

I think I may have passed your shop but we were late getting to the Venue, was there a white first gen out in front?  Would have been great to meet you.

Al

I have checked w/several Camaro Parts Suppliers and have been able to locate some of the seals and rubber parts but not a plunger and plunger seal.  Most of the rebuild kits include the nozzles and "O" rings, and some of the seals.  FYI- The same kits are available through your local NAPA store.

That would be greatly appreciated.  Let me know if you locate the parts I need and what you want for them, if you find 'em.

I have taken pumps apart to see how they tic, the plunger part is not reproed. Neither is the seal that mounts on the plunger.  What is wrong with yours?

My plunger, seal, and spring are missing from mine.  I have the original wiper pump assy. and would like to restore it.

Help! Does anyone know where I can locate a new or good used used windshield washer plunger? piston? and seal for my 68 Camaro. It seems all the repair kits that I have found do not include the part I need the most.  Any ideas?

I really enjoy driving my '68 RS convertible,  I've driven all over Michigan with it.  I plan to take it on the Hot Rod Power tour this Summer, at least a couple of legs and maybe a Long-Hauler (Cleveland, OH to Little Rock, AR) if the weather cooperates!

Originality / Re: 68RS Pinchweld Clips

Sorry, should have been a little more detailed.  Was wondering what to use to refinish the Clips that hold the stainless trim that goes around around the rear deck on a 68 RS convertible. This trim I'm referring to what the top boot attaches to when the top is down.  Sorry, don't know what to call it.
