I know that she was an original RS due to the fenders, reverse lights, tail lights, and front valance lights. And now after i checked my firewall, it does indeed have the correct looking hole next to my master cylinder. At least i would assume it is an original RS, either that or someone did a very good clone. As for the SS part, i am still clueless about how to tell. I only faintly remember someone saying something about the rear frame rail, and it very well may be an exhaust hanger and not a hole that was mentioned. I also don't think it was an original BCB because the radiator (assumed to be original) has a 21" core, not 23". But does anyone know how to tell an original SS from a base coupe??

Thanks!

Hey! New to the forum but have been using CRG for years now. Im only 17 but already have bought and sold a '67 SS clone and just bought a '68 Yenko clone ;D. She's got a brand spankin new 427 that i cant wait to break in! Anyway, when i bought the car, i was told it was an original RS/SS, but there was no documentation to prove this. I have heard something about a hole in the Firewall below the master cylinder next to the steering linkage to verify that it truly is an original RS. I also have heard from only one or two places something about an extra hole in the rear driver side frame rail to verify the SS authenticity. I do not know for sure whether either of these are a solid, reliable way to verify either the RS or SS options on a '68 camaro. Has anyone heard of this or was it just a rumor that i heard?? ???

Thanks!
