5th Annual Michigan FBody Spring Meet & Greet 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

***CHANGE OF VENUE****

The Official 2009 M&G Informational Thread
What: 5th Annual Michigan FBody Spring Meet & Greet 2009
Date: May 30th, 2009
Time: 730am to 4pm
Location: Bakers of Milford, Milford, MI
Address: 2025 S. Milford Road, Milford, MI 48381

Introduction:
We're back and earlier than ever! With the beginning of 2009 fast approaching, we're posting the information ahead of schedule! The staff of MiFbody.com have decided to make the first Saturday after Memorial Day our yearly event date. This will make it easier for people to plan for the event for years to come as well as make it easier for us, the staff, to organize it! Last year, even with an overwhelming prediction of showers and the subsequent downpour at the show, we still were grateful for the large turnout we encountered! Over 150 vehicles showed up - still growing larger every year! This year, we're pushing for 175 Fbodies. Last year's outcome was purely the result of rain predictions - hopefully this year we can stay dry this year like we have in years past! Can we make it to our goal of 175 FBodies? Only with your help! So mark your calendars and register for the Meet & Greet today!

Food and Beverages:
Again for 2009, we are not going to have a Potluck style. Bakers has a full service restaurant in addition they will also have an outdoor grill going offering hot dogs and hamburgers

Registration:
As most of you might remember from previous years, filling out the registration forms the day of the event can be overwhelming! To register for the event - you have your choice of two forms! We have partnered with Motortopia to help advertise our event and they offer an online registration form! We have also created a version of their registration form on our website as well! You can register at either one of the two links below, but please make sure you register at one of them!

General Plans for the Meet & Greet:
The Meet & Greet, as a tradition, is a casual meet up to hang out and have fun! The event's host website (MiFbody.com) is still growing at an exponential rate, and there's still a lot of names that we know from the community but we don't have a face to place with the name. The Meet & Greet was created in 2005 to put faces to the user names on the site. The whole point is to meet new people, hang out, show off our own cars and check out each other's cars! Over the years, we've grown to include the entire FBody community not only in Michigan but in neighboring states and Canada! Our goal is not directly meant to promote our website - but more to promote the FBody community as a whole and encourage the community to establish friendships with people in the area with the same passion for the cars we own! The Meet & Greet is MiFbody.com's way to try and give back to the community by having a yearly show to look forward to.

50/50 Raffle:
Last year we had a 50/50 raffle with great results! This year, again, we will be having a 50/50 raffle! So bring your money and make some cash to pay off the gas you used to get to the event!

Please note that the cruise to Woodward is completely independent of the Meet & Greet - although a tradition for some. The meet will be considered finished directly after the short Awards ceremony. Please make arrangements on your own if you plan to cruise to Woodward after the Meet & Greet

Again for 2009, we are not going to have a Potluck style and are going to be using a concession stand service! We will have a concession stand at our location that will have a whole bunch of different items to eat! If you prefer to not rely on their services, though, please plan to bring your own lunch! A menu will be made available as we get closer to the event - we won't have the vendor firmed up until a few months before due to the vendor being supplied by Kensington Metro Park. As always, alcoholic beverages are not allowed at the picnic, and anyone caught drinking will be asked to leave the picnic.

What: 2008 Michigan FBody Spring Meet 'n' Greet
Date: May 31st, 2008
Time: 8am to 5pm
Location: Kensington Metropark, Milford, MI
Address: 2240 W. Buno Road, Milford, MI 48380-4410
Pavillion Location: Maple Beach

Introduction:
That's right! With the beginning of 2008 starts the official informational thread. The date has been set by you, the members. The only thing I'm setting up is the location, which will be at Maple Beach at Kensington Metro Park. The reason for this is due to the size of the parking lot needed. Last year, with about 130 fbodies showing up, we had an awesome lot that was just the right size. This year, we're pushing for 150 Fbodies. Can we make it? Will we be able to do it? Let's see!

Food and Beverages:
This year, we are departing from the Potluck style and are going to be using Crank's Catering! They have a concession stand at the beach that will have a whole bunch of different items to eat! As always, alcoholic beverages are not allowed at the picnic, and anyone caught drinking will be asked to leave the picnic. A menu from Crank's Concession Stand can be found here: http://www.mifbody.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=16008

Registration:
As most of you might remember from last year, filling out the registration forms overwhelmed me to say the least. I was constantly registering in people as they entered the picnic area. This year, there's two forms that people can fill out to make my job GREATLY easier to do! Please visit this link and fill out the form in it's entirety to make my job easier when the Meet 'n Greet comes.

« on: March 11, 2008, 10:54:38 AM »
thanks for th replies

driveshafts are the same, same can also be said for the 200r but it requires the use of a 400 cross-member

yokes are supposed to be the same on any pg/th350 for 68 and up - just different lengths based on applicaton

flexplate is the original - in 68' does anyone know what the std tooth was for a 327/210 PG setup?

saw that article and it is interesting - but already have 95% of what i need to complete this task - and dont really care about OD

Mild Modifications / Powerglide to TH350 swap questions
« on: March 10, 2008, 08:15:43 PM »
I am getting ready for my sway and have been gathering parts and have a few questions.

1) from what ive read i can reuse the PG yoke but and figuring as long as im in there may as go new - there appear to be multiple lengths available
-can someone tell me what length i need before having to pull the old one out?

2) from what ive read i should be able to reuse my flywheel without a prorblem
- can someone tell me if theyve experienced any problems?

3) i know ill need a new dipsrick as the old one is broken
- can someone tell me what one theyve use - ie: where it bolts to etc...

any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated, also if anyone knows of a writeup detailing the swap

thanx
T

thanx for the offer - but it's been all set for a while - i wound up going with 15x8 3.75bs -19mm offset using 295/50-15 tires - they fit perfect no rub anywhere with stock multileaf rears (no coil overs or shackle extenders)
