My 68 Z28 is $895 year with an agreed value of 90K with Hagarty. They wanted lots of pictures and put my on the line with one of their "experts." He was very nice and polite and asked lots of questions, but I don't think he was a total expert. I knew more than him, and I know little compaired to some peolple on this web site.

But, overall, they were great to deal with and the process was pretty easy. I will insure my little girls 67 S Code Mustang (barn find) with them as well when I finish it.

Sometimes it's more than who's the cheapest. It matters a lot about who's gonna honor the policy if something goes wrong. I hang a round with a lot of muscleheads, most of who have Hagarty...not a complaint out of the bunch.

This is the website where I bought my plates. You can even make the plates online to see what they will look like. $75 per plate is not cheap, but a small price compared to what I spent on everything else on the car.

Front Suspension. I have since replaced the "remanufactured" original front springs because they were worn and the car was riding too low in the front.

Yes, it's registered with that combination of numbers and letters. I have a "matching" off-white and blue, today-style plate that actually goes with the car...but it matches.

Found the Black Plates online. I had to have them shipped out of state because the company would not ship to California.

And, that was this car at the Pismo Beach classic on father's Day Weekend...on the green Astroturf. It was far from complete...non functioning electronics/radio, etc. Seats were not complete, etc. Front springs were not correct. But, I made it to the Gold Class. Got a nice scratch in the $$K paint job from a lady who played stupid and said she just wanted to "feel how nice the paint was." She made scratches with her wedding ring as she was "feeling" it. DUM8-A$$ !!!

I used soda blasting. Sand blasting would have removed too much and I would never know this was a real Z28/RS. Acid dipping did not remove enough on my previous car. I think soda or even wallnut shell blasting removed just the right amount.

I have a 302 with the GM cross ram. Dyno  (on the stand) results just came in at 466HP @7400RPM  and 404 ft/pds in the 5K range. This was with somwhat restrictive exhaust. Doug's Headers are on now @ 1, 3/8"  The motor is "built." We could have put a hotter cam in for more HP, but "driveablility would have gone down."

I'll post the net HP and torque when the motor is in the car and I'm able to take it to Bottle Blown for a true  "rear wheel HP" dyno. And, I'll post it's "drivablility."

anything
