General Discussion / Re: How FAST Do You Drive?
« on: November 22, 2007, 03:45:05 AM »
Thank you, since I'm getting old that one took me a while.

Top speed ? , after a Speedo gets pegged it's anyone's guess, and I have never done it at a place I could be clocked..

I am putting dual quads and nitrous on her this winter. Just found my old Offy intake again and I can't resist two 4's ......

Never used nitrous before, so maybe you can teach old dog new tricks.   ::)

That pic was taken right before I did the interior (I HATE hog rings)  ;D

Will have to add a pic of my handiwork inside in a minute after I scan a pic.

I will probably get shot for admitting this ..... I have driven every 69 I have ever built the same way since the first one back in the early 1970's .....  speedo pegged when the mood strikes. And I have built each one with the same stance as well, jack the ass end up, drop the front end in the weeds, Cragars all around with 50's in the rear.......  Just can't help it.  ::)

I just squirted my other Garnet Red SS, had PPG mix me up some factory lacquer. I would submit a pic for the main page but I doubt it would ever get used because of the way she looks, but that's ok ........ I like em like this so that's all that matters.

If I knew how to post a pic I would just show her here ........  ???

Maintenance / 69 Cowl Hood Alignment ??????????
« on: April 24, 2006, 02:51:37 AM »
Doors to Rocker gaps are perfect. Fender to door gaps are perfect. Hood to fender gaps are perfect and equal both sides. Upper valance is aligned perfect with fenders. Hinges are original with NOS GM SS springs.

Now for the cowl hood ....... Left rear corner of hood is 1/4 inch below fender, Right rear is level with fender. Left front corner of hood has perfect gap with upper valance, Right front corner of hood has 5/8 inch gap with upper valance.

Just put it on and haven't started to play with anything yet, anybody have and tips or tricks on where to start ?

Thank You

General Discussion / 67 302 HEADS (2.02)
« on: December 16, 2005, 06:49:32 PM »
A friend of mine is thinking about selling the heads from a 67 Z that he owned in the early 70's, They are complete and original. I verified that they are 1967 2.02 heads by the numbers but with as rare as these are I couldn't answer him when he asked what they were worth ....

Anyone have a rough idea on a price range ???

                                  Thank You
