thanks and yes it said to remove the old resistor strip becasue new gauge has a built in resistor.

does it usually stay where it rises to during driving after shut off,until it cools off and restart goes to cold and cranks up? i removed the old resistor patch that was on old gauge mounting position,any ideas, thanks

 i did console conversion with new harness and its powerering up before it cranks and goes to about  5k at crank, sometimes it cycles all the around back to zero in opposite direction and goes back to 6 or 7k any suggestions. thanks

its make a spring type sound when turning key off not functioning properly, maybe time for a new gauge?

yes it is long bolt but it has nothing to catch it and tighten i screwed bolt 5 minutes and cought nothing to tighten has to be something for it to catch to maybe i lost it when i pride the two apart from firewall. those screws are locked in with a little washer that does not seem to want to come off.

replaced my eng and front light harnessess and tried screwing the middle bolt back into under dash fuse block and the bolt is not tightening up? was there something on fuse block hole that was there to catch middle bolt and tight it up to fuse block,maybe a small nut or washer to help tighten up that middle bolt? thanks

i have new one and some of the fins are pushed to close together,does that make a difference in function or leaks,i thought they were cooling fins and no coolant goes thru them is that correct? thanks

no dash lights or console lights, i did a ohm multimeter test of switch for dimming the dash,pulled to park position and turned knob to left for brightness and number read a 4,turn to the right for dimming and to turn off it read -1, well i think that is the opposite readings for both,bright to left should be -1 and right to dim should be 4 am i correct on this? thanks

thanks very much guys,i did not buy the aaw voltmeter its another company and did not come with new panel,i just drilled new holes to compensate for new voltmeter, it has the three prongs two are light metal color and the other is is a copper color i think its for a ground.  thanks

new volt meter my instructions are not very detailed i do not know how to connect power to volt meter i can not use the old amp system wiring for volt meter,has any done this install yet,any help and directions are helpful.it has three pegs,one is for ground and the other two prongs i do not know? thanks
