Here are photos of the outside mirror on my 67 06E Norwood car. The makers mark on the mirror glass has a S in a circle and is appropriately dated for the car. The car has been painted a number of times and the mirror is on a repop gasket. Is it original to the car? I can’t say it is or isn’t but it could still be a data point of interest.

I’m sure you’ll get the information you need before I’m able to contribute but I can add another reference point to this thread around mid May. I believe that my 67 console gauges 01D Los car still retain virtually all of its original interior components and I’m happy to respond to these interior questions, or others, down the road. Cheers

ESC appears to be considerably more extensive but includes the cost of etching. Etching is additional for the glass from Auto City.

I did notice that the 67 Order Form lists the Special Performance Package and available Plenum Air Intake and Exhaust Headers. Very cool!

Decoding/Numbers / 1967 Z-28 Alternator Broadcast Code

I presently have my 693 alternator in for restoration. When discussing the broadcast code, I stated that I believe it should be NL based on posts in this and other forums. I was told with certainty that the broadcast code is CB. So, I looked into it further and did find restored alternators being sold with a CB stamp as well as some photos of well-known 67 Z-28's with CB stamped alternators.


Could the issue be that CB is the broadcast code for one of the higher amp alternators?

Hoping that someone with a Chassis Broadcast Copy (production alternator) can set me straight. Cheers

The 67 Z28 looks real nice and has been restored using some Day 2 items. Perhaps this car is actually used as a road racer. Along with factory available cowl plenum and headers (not sure if these are Bill Thomas style) there is a TI module and what might be Delco race wires. The white toe hook brackets are also another race inspired modification. Interesting car, I hadn’t seen photos of it before.

Thanks Joe. I don’t recall seeing those before. Seems that they had a 4 year production run ending in ‘72. Probably a tough find today in good condition like many other vintage wheels of the day. I like them.

This listing states that the seller can add windage tray rails to their service replacement oil pan.

If the regular production '69 Camaro small block oil pan is externally the same as the Z/28 pan could you not remove the baffle and install windage tray rails?
I understand that sheet metal work, welding, templates and patterns would be required but it seems like a doable project if the information was available.


The production '67 pans appear to be externally the same as the '67 Z-28 pans so this is what I intend to do for my '67 302 build. So far I've collected a couple of 3-step production pans and removed the baffle from one of them although the project is now waiting for me to develop metalwork/welding skills. I'd also like to obtain more detailed information on the rails to add to the photos I've saved. From the photos I've got, it appears that the '67-'69 windage tray rails (scrappers?) are very similar.

V1122KM  stamp shows up in The Lime Book as 67 327/275 HP TH/ 4 bbl/ AIR out of full size passenger car.


I just had a look at Chevrolet by the Numbers and it states the same information as rszmit posted.

I read it as a 1967 block cast on November 11, 1966 and assembled at the Flint V8 plant on November 22nd.
I don't recognize the "KM" application code. If it was MK rather than KM it would be a 275hp engine for a manual transmission car.
For it to be a Z-28 block it needs to be stamped either MO or MP in place of the KM. It would also have the cars partial vin stamped on the pad. I'm also pretty sure no Z-28 engines were assembled before December 1966.


In order for the block to be a 295 hp 350 the KM on the Front Pad would have to be a MS, MT, MU or MV. The partial vin would also be stamped on the pad.

If your interested in 67-68 Z28s get a copy of the Fact Book. Lots of good information there including order/build dates for the first 25 1967 Z28s.

I know of 610 intakes dated 3.8.67 and 3.10.67. Perhaps production was ramping up at that time as the model year was approaching the final quarter.

Nope no need.  I just noticed it is different than what I have for the same UH tags for 68 & 69.  Maybe I had forgotten that 67 was different but I wanted to note it regardless.



Yes, I see what you mean.
The 68 radiator info I posted in Reply #106 has a 67 tag. The radiator is 3 row 23" as per the tag but the tag must have been changed at some point or perhaps the whole rad was swapped out for a 67 rad.
