I wouldn't bring it inside your garage until you clean it out. Critters, spyders , bugs and God only knows what else you'll find inside it. But then if you are trying to get rid of your wife by all means bring it in!!

General Discussion / Re: Console Harness

That's not right. I purchased and installed that harness from them for my 69 and it fit perfect. Call them, I found them to have excellent customer service. Maybe it was someone that just started there and didn't know any better but wanted to make sure you had enough wire!

When I ordered my 1969 Z28 back in the fall of '68, I purchased this option. Figuring I was in high school and would be doing some parking with girls back then and l knew I wanted to be able to see out  the rear window when the night was over! :) I have the high/low switch and bezel if you need one.

Back in the fall of 1968, I ordered from Karen Chevrolet in Phillipsburg, NJ a 1969 burnish brown Z28 with 712 black comfortweave seats, 8 track tape player on the console, rear defogger, manual steering, M21 transmission, 3:73 rear end and it had the white stripes on a flat hood. The car is a legend in my home town with people that went to school with me at that time. I sold the car in 1972 for a corvette which was a big mistake.  I've tried many times to located the car but it's been too long and all I have are a few pictures and fond memories.  I now own a 1969 tuxedo black Z28, but I still would love it more if it was burnish brown!

Looks like a nice car and I think it will get a buyer within that price range.

I might consider selling my Tuxedo Black real X33 with a few more options for about $50k less! No rust, well maintained not a Legends class car but a pretty nice car.

General Discussion / Re: Nationals at Fredrick 2021

I posted a few pictures over on the Team Camaro website. From what I understand the Carlisle people raised the price beyond what the Nationals were able to pay. There were some great cars there especially in the Legends building. Saturday the attendance picked up and my guess is that there were a few hundred cars there.

I've been to Carlisle and if you are looking for parts you won't be able to do it in one day.  The day I went we walked 8 miles and never got to the end.  We did not back track there was so much to see by way of parts.  It may be not as crowded this year due to covid. Some big vendors will bring parts that you order online and you'll save on the shipping.

General Discussion / Re: Storage during off season ?
« on: November 26, 2020, 01:19:40 AM »
I just placed my 69 Camaro in storage and spread mothballs on the floor.  Today, I saw someone on YouTube doing an experiment with mothballs ato determine if it actually repelled mice. Nope, doesn't work to my dismay, nor does Irish Spring soap.  Mint, peppermint or peppermint tea bags placed in the 4 corners of the garage worked the best. Check it out on YouTube. I have my wife checking to see if we have any of that stuff right now.

From my experience the grille was gray with the perimeter the color of the car.  I ordered a 1969 Z28 in the fall of 1968 in Burnish Brown and it came like I explained previously.  I tried to attach a picture of that car and the file was too large to post.  I'll try to PM you with the picture.

General Discussion / Re: Back up light switch 4 speed help.
« on: April 17, 2020, 11:37:45 PM »
Seven years since this topic was posted it is still relevant.  Restoring a 69 Z28 with headers and just installed a new under dash harness from AAW. I see there is a Hurst back up light switch on the tranny and no linkage to the steering column.  Now I understand how the switch is wired.  Thanks for helping me figure out how this set up works years after it was first posted.

Just completed installing a AAW harness and I had the controller off. On my 1969 Z28 it was just a green plastic strip.
