Great stuff. That will drive a restorer crazy.

Nice wheels Danny...
Do you think the darker pair were on the front of a disc brake car? - Disc brake dust in the grain could make them appear a shade or two darker.
IF you haven't washed them yet... I would use some polmolive or light dish soap and a stiff bristled brush and see if the suds came up dirty.
SHORT OF THE ABOVE..
IMHO The color appears VERY close and if not pointed out specifically I doubt most would see any difference ESPECIALLY if they were paired together -(I have 6 years of art school including study in color theory along with light refraction.)
I would run one pair on the left side of the car and the other pair on the right side. UNLESS YOU bring someone's attention to it, they are not going to know or see the difference.
PERSONALLY I would be afraid of damaging the beautiful dark "magnesium" finish in trying to do anything harsher than washing them to only one pair.
Sure you can make an engine look like something it isn't (sort of like putting lipstick on a pig), but that's not going to change the value. A clone is a clone and should not add significant value to the overall price of the sale. That engine is worth the some of it's parts at best.
Absolutely correct. Just for poops and grins, what would a ZL-1 Camaro be worth missing its all alum 427, and a 350 small block is now in place? Still a ton of money. Why? Because that VIN/chassis IS rare and desirable to collectors.
Maybe the 1T new green deal will solve these problems.
1T? Try the next one @ 3.5 Trillion!
