Yes, the cap shown by 1967RS-NH is for the RPO K-24 system.  The cap I'm referring to would be a breather and have mesh, but I am unsure what it is supposed to look like as there are many out there claiming to be correct.  Does anyone know what is assembly line correct for the oil fill/breather cap on a 1967 327 with standard engine ventilation? The assembly manual doesn't show enough detail to determine what the cap should look like.

Thanks

What is the "correct" oil fill/breather cap for a 1967 L30 327/275hp with the standard engine ventilation system as shown in the 1967 Assembly Manual in UPC 6, sheet C5?  Also, I see that some restoration parts houses list a decal for the cap.  Was the decal an assembly line thing or is it an aftermarket/restoration thing?

Thanks

Actually in several states if the original VIN is known it can be used, with exceptions, in the state issued VIN plate.  I think the first order of business is to remove the paint from the plate and find the hidden VINs.  Until these issues are sorted out, I would stay away.

I have the Bottoms Up Lift 1500lb capacity car rotisserie with the pneumatic tire option.  The only change I would make would be to find a way to mount the rear of the vehicle solid instead of through the rubber in the rear spring mount.  I would probably make bushings out to aluminum to fit in there.

Gentlemen:

Which, if either, of the attached timing chain covers is correct for a 1967 L30 with the small balancer?  I think it is the one with the longer timing tab.  What do the experts say?

I know that at least for '68 the L30/M20 cars got a special high torque starter, but I don't recall the numbers or have them handy.

Restoration / Re: Interior Paint Codes - 1967 Yellow "707" interior

Good morning guys.  I have hit a slight snag.  I can't seem to find a vendor who has the proper 1967 Yellow interior dye.  Can anyone point me in the right direction.  No one seems to have a listing for it in any of their online catalogs.  I know that Rick George told me it was available back in 2004 when I spoke to him at the GM Nationals right after he purchased the Berger 1967 RS/SS Yellow/Yellow convertible.  Thanks

There is a book which some locksmiths have that have this information.  These books used to be at the dealers, but years ago the dealers gave them up and they started showing up at swap meets such as Carlisle and the locksmiths bought them up ... you may even find one on ebay from time to time, but I haven't looked.  They were marked "confidential" if I remember correctly.

I don't know if its the same one or not.  This one didn't look like it needed "restored" as it presented very nicely from what I recall.

I saw this car at the 2007 and 2008 All GM Nationals/Camaro Nationals in Carlisle.  Here are some pictures
