Does anyone have or has seen a 67 conv. With a c1 color  code with a 797 parchment interior? Obviously, all white.

It would look correct but the only difference in stainless is the sound is different.

General Discussion / Re: Flywheel date for a 67 l78

Thanks. John.    I have had my original l78 on an engine stand for 33 years and was looking for a date correct flywheel for many years.  Do you know where I might find a correct  vacuum fitting for the manifold and did the 67 l78 use the 11/32 hose right to the fitting or was there a vacuum tube in between?  Thanks. Jeff

How far was a flywheel date off the engine build date?  The motor is a 67 mid may l78.   Thanks. Jeff

Decoding/Numbers / Re: Nos shifter ball

kerry, i have that exact ball with the threaded bottom but with no hole on the side. i believe production cars originally came with this ball and gm changed to the 2-piece because it kept stripping. my l78 originally came with the i piece ball.

« on: February 07, 2010, 03:54:37 PM »
going to look at a horde of nos parts and i'm wondering if there are telltale signs to differenciate between a gm nos ss hood and aftermarket? gentleman says the hood is nos but there is no box left and no stickers.
