Restoration / 67 vent window frames

Anyone have any ideas on where I can pick up the vent window frames for my 67 Camaro? I referring to the "back" part of the vent window that has the piece that goes down into the door frame and is held in place by the screw in the inner door and a bolt at the bottom. I've looked all over for these and can't find anything here in Wisconsin.

I am also in South East Wisconsin, just waiting for the car show season to get rolling.
Where is the Auto Shop located ? Always good to find reputable shops nearby.

The name of the company is Keno's Collisiontek, in Kenosha. Owners name is Keith Matus, his speciality is restoring GTO's. Phone 262-605-8921. He has two shops in different parts of town and he took my wife and I through both of them when we first bought our Camaro 5 years ago. He has two restored 67-68's (not sure of the years), convertibles on his floor and is working on a complete restoration of a "Judge". He did do a 67 Camaro convertible a few years back. This was also a convertible.

Thanks to Phillip for getting the picture I sent to him small enough to post.
I hope everyone who looks at this picture can see how the Vinyl Roof is darker than the stripes on the car. Before the vinyl roof looked more like the stripes. so far people that have seen it up close really like the color. I have had a couple friends who own Chevelles remember this Fawn Beige now that they have seen ii again.

Good questions. To replace with original color and texture there was only one company I could find that had "Fawn Biege" Vinyl and the cost was over $400 just for the Vinyl and I had to still pay shipping. This Company did send me samples of the original Vinyl in Fawn Beige. Other than the fact the "Off White" color , whiich was dyed over the original "Fawn Beige" was fading, the Vinyl itself is in good shape. The metal under the Vinyl based on the Auto Shop that dyed it, is in good shape. All window molding was remove to check for any rust situation and none was found. That doesn't mean something could pop up in the next year or two, you never know.
The owner of the Auto Shop was so impressed with how this product looked after completion, he personally called the company in Canada that produced the dye and told them he would recommend using it again under the same circumstances.( Good metal and Vinyl conditions) They are sending him about 50 diffferent "base' colors samples for display and pamphlets on the product. The cost for the material, which includes Vinyl cleaner, dye, conditioner and the application was under $400.00. Hope this answers your questions.

General Discussion / dying Vinyl roof

Several months ago I asked if anyone had ever re dyed the Vinyl roof on their Camaro and did not get many responses. Well I went and did it on mine. The top was originally Fawn Beige and was dyed to an off white. I had it redyed back to Fawn Beige. I go to pick up the car tomorrow and from what the owner of body shop that did the redying states it looks really really good and he likes the look better than the off white that was on the car. He said the hardest part was prepping and cleaning the Vinyl with the cleaner included prior to applying the dye. He sprayed on 4 light coats of the dye. He said what he really was impressed with was there was no major buildup of product and it bonded really well to the vinyl roof. The coats dryed within 20 minutes as stated and he was able to apply each coat every 20 -25 minutes. He is going to apply the "conditioner" that came with the dye kit tomorrow during the day and I should be able to pick it tomorrow evening. I'll let you how it looks.

Great to hear from you!!! Always have been a fan of the butternut with black vinyl, first car we looked at was a 67 in that color scheme. I am going to have my vinyl redyed original Fawn beige. I sent a swatch of the color and orginal vinyl to a company in Canada. They are matching it. The body shop that did my hood is going to do the work. They do it all the time!!!!!!!!!
I'll keep you posted when it is done.

Restoration / Re-Dying Vinyl Roof to original color

Anyone ever attempted to re-dye their Vinyl Roof as opposed to replacing it? I am looking at re-dying using product from Parasol Inc. to the original color of Fawn Beige on my 67. it is now off white.
Thoughts? Ideas/ Comments?

I have a 67 Royal Plum with a White Vinyl roof SS350 that is non-numbers matching as is yours. I had been told when the market was a bit higher than what it is now,that my car would bring anywhere from $28K to $33k if I was to sell it at that time.
Not to be disheartening, but if you don't have the "original numbers matching engine, tranny and 12 bolt rearend the way prices are going now, you may end having more dollars put in the car than what it is worth.
Just my opinion and best of luck on your decision!!!!!!!!!

IMO I would not "bash" any cars. Unless you are limiting your show to just GM products which I would not think would be an advantage. The more cars and different types you can draw is only a plus to you and your group. Besides, liabilities (cost of insurance )I would imagine could be quite high. Keep as simple as possible.

If you are going to have raffles have one every hour or so to keep people involved. This means you need a lot of donations from people or places of buisness. If your show is to help support a needy cause this normally isn't a problem. Most shows we go to have "coffee cans" in front of different gifts. You buy tickets $1 each or 6 for $5 and you put your tickets in cans you want to win. 50/50, have the drawing before (an hour??) the awards. If you are judging the cars, don't allow anyone to vote in their own class. A bake sale always goes over big here in the midwest. A DJ with 50's 60' 70's music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep the entry fee as inexpensive as possilbe and naturally ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, a Dash plaque for the entered cars. Most of the shows here draw around 100 to 200 cars but they only give out a certain amount of plaques to get the cars in early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did I say to much!!!!!!!!!!??
