Hey guys,
I know Hurst makes an after market backup switch, but I'm confused as to exactly where it goes on the trans. And how to wire it up.. anybody have any pics or advice. atHeartbeat city has the switch. Since I have headers I probably need to use that switch, but have not a clue how to activate or hook it up.. Any Ideas.. thanks  D

Just cause I'm dumb. so, when you shift the floor shifter into reverse, The reverse rod is also attached to a rod that is connected to the steering shaft. Is this correct?? Is there a product sold that works only on the trans?  Man I'm dumb.

I'm new at this myself. Do a search. I saw a thread about just that topic.....sorry I could not find it again. I know there is a small hole in the back that u have to put a pin or something in to remove it..the key has to be inas well. I think you turn the key to open it and with the pin in it will come out.. But not sure. Mine had the same prob. for now I just wedged a tiny piece if sheet metel unde it and it's tight....Hack... ... not much help..

Oh boy. please explain. back drive switch. Is that the on on the tranny?  Can't seem to find one for a 69. so, if I need the switch on the tranny, then that wire goes up front then to the back?  This electric shit always plays havoc with me..I don't have the "back drive linkage"... Thanks for your help steve.  Where can I get the right stuff? do you know? sorry I'm such a noob.

The 69 ss I just bought has reverse lights, but no switch.. Since I'm new to camaro's I thought I'd ask. I can buy a reverse switch for dnr. but, where does it go exactly? Since I have not seen another one I have no clue. I pic would be great!.. Any thoughts??  It's a muncie m20..   Dan

Thanks Mark, What about the wiring harness?? Any ideas.? I really hate buying stuff I don't need and have to return it.
