Title: Hemmings TV
Post by: maroman on September 04, 2012, 10:19:29 PM
Take a look at the Hemmings Blog. A black RS/SS 396 car is featured. Tell me what's wrong with this never been modified car at 3:19 in the video.

Let's see:

1-Wrong air cleaner housing
2- I don't see a PVC valve on the left side
3- Shouldn't the tac be a 6K RPM red line for the 396/375HP
4- Steering wheel vs. 760-Z standard interior
5- Wrong pitch on the rear atnenna
6- radiator overflow hose routing
7- A 396/375 with an auto tranny?
8- hood pins
9- engine lift brackets
10- left vave cover rear doesn't look correct
11- wrong radiator cap
12- ash tray front doesn't look correct?
13- front and rear spoliers- well..not factory

BUT....at least there is no fan sticker.

I'm thinking the car might have been a 325 hp when new.

Text under the video states:  "........father bought new specifically to run in A/Stock, and that remains in largely original condition today" but then in the video he talks about the originality of the interior down to the screws and that nothing has been changed (with regard to interior and body I assume).

The old adage applies:  "Say what you mean and meand what you say".
