hope I got all  the link, it goes off today. After seeing a "survivor" with a replaced block, wrong heater hoses and several other suspectable things, I saw this car and it is unrestored but repainted and has picture of block on engine stand. Gosh whats left that hasnt been restored??

Nice car maybe but it has had a lot more work than "...one lacquer repaint."

Based on the badly mis-positioned Camaro emblem on the left fender that has likely been replaced. Also, very poor fit of upper grille panel at the fender. The ZL2 hood was added, there is a large gap at the juncture of the RH quarter and lower rear body panel. It would have been built with a '68 rear spoiler. It has RH dash woodgrain, only included on cars built with a custom interior. Rear stripes are incorrect; rockers should be black. Car was built on or about October 11; rear axle is dated October 17. Door weatherstripping is falling off.

Sounds like they really want it gone.

Noticed it has hood insulation and trunk mat. Weren't those only for deluxe interiors?

All ZL2 hoods had the insulation so they just added it to be technically correct.

The trunk mat was custom interior only and looks too good to be OE.

Too much not adding up on this car.

The hood insulaion was also standard on the SS and COPO cars for engine codes L34, L35, L78, L89, and L27

L48's (SS 350s) also came with hood insulation standard.

It is a Jan X77 car.
It would not have chrome trim on headlights or on fenders and no chrome gills.
Large rear bumperetts are missing.
