I find it tough to believe some of the stories on the following site, but this one about a 69 RS/Z is interesting:
http://www.carsinbarns.com/new170.html
Does the owner belong to this site or does someone know him? I'd like to hear more about it.
Thanks,
Nick

Yes very interesting indeed I would love to know more about it.

Doesn't look like an original RS.
-
It also looked TOO nice to be an 'old barn car'... and there were no 'Rallye Sport' badges on the fenders... as someone pointed out, which tells me it might have gotten an 'RS' makeover maybe sometime the last few years.. and WHY was it sitting in an old barn, covered in dust? Could it have been HIDDEN in there? for some reason? It will be interesting if the title comes back clear... for the new owners (and I noticed it sill had the 'barn find' tag on it after the cleaning.. so maybe they haven't done that as of the photos).. Does anyone recognize what state that tag is from?

No Rally Sport Fender emblems, no chrome louvers moldngs, no chrome wheel well trim, no rear back up lights in lower valance, no RS.

Agreed it is not a real RS but it might be a real Z and a cool car with a flat hood and Cortez silver. Neat find and hopefully someones knows the owner and can get more info.
-
If a real Z, it's missing the rear bumper guards.

The Z28 emblem on the grill and front fender both appear to be incorrectly located.
-
If this car is original I'm a Russian astronaut IMHO. The tail pipe "Chrome Tips" are wrong with a turn down. IDK but just too many little things for me.

That's a 93 or later (Amber Waves of Grain) Harrison County tag (31). A lot could happen in 24 years or more before it went in the barn.
Good eyes guys!
Hey Daniel, Здравствуйте товарищ. ;D ;)

Thank You Phillip. I've had a couple good days this week. Might just might make the cruise-in tomorrow night. First one in 2 months.

I guy named Ryan (I think) runs that site, he is a member on Moparts and a pretty straight up guy. He provides info as given to him and doesn't necessarily research the cars. I agree that it is not a RS and even question the Z/28 part. Good looking car though, I'd love to find it.

There is so much wrong with this car that I'm not sure it's a real Camaro!
-
pretty poor attempt at the rear stripes as well.

Ask the webmaster: steve@carsinbarns.com
Although the site says they do noit supply information about cars owners, etc....
