Title: Screws for shifter trim plate.
Post by: lynnbilodeau on July 29, 2012, 08:15:13 PM
69 Camaro four speed.  No console.
What size and shape screws for the shifter triim plate.
I am assuming they are either chrome or stainless.  Which one.

Thanks in advance.

If the boot retainer is chrome plated, I'd expect screws the same.
Stainless has a yellow/gold tinge that is more obvious when side by side.

They are listed in the AMK catalog as chrome plated screws 8-18x 7/8 .31 OD, # B-11150.

Yes, the trim plate is chrome.  I also assume chrome screw, but... just wantiing to be sure.

So, chrome it is.

Was also pretty sure it was a #8 screw, but don't know which head:

Pan head?
Oval head?
Flat head?

The 69 AIM (UPC M20, Sheet A1) list them as #9422957.  The AMK cross-reference to the #9422957 does indeed list them as B-11150.  The AMK catalog photo and information is http://www.amkproducts.com/Catalog_PDF/74-91.pdf (http://www.amkproducts.com/Catalog_PDF/74-91.pdf), Page #87, top right corner of page.
