I hate when all these guys advertise cars as survivors and don't have a clue what one is.

Maybe it survived a flood somewhere
-
I guess it is all in what their perception of a "survivor" car would be. Totally agree Danny this term is used quite loosely these days.
-
Maybe they meant it survived the restoration. :D
Is it just me or does the deck stamp look fishy? I have a big block pacer that was built aprox 1 month before this one and the vin is stamped by the oil filter, which where I thought all the Norwood cars built around this time frame were stamped. Am I wrong about that?
-
Oh well. At least all the EBAY stars twinkle. Can an all original parts car that goes through a frame off restoration, but with a repaint be considered a survivor? Or must it be untouched?
-
Well the survivor term is used pretty loosely these days, I guess all our cars are survivors to one extent or another.
-
There's a 13k mile original 375hp 69 in this town that has had only spark plugs & tires changed do to age. That's as close to surviving as I can think.
Repainting does not classify as survivor. Repainting engine doesn't either. They should've restored it correctly though. Underside of hood should be black not white & valve covers on as ss396 should be chrome...Joe

lets see some pictures of that beauty....

Bullitt65
Are you referring to this 13k car?...Joe

Nope, you're correct, the partial VIN should be by the oil filter. The engine pad has been restamped, IMO.

Yes the the 13k car I would like to see pics of it if possible, or post the website where the car is posted, thanks
-
Yeah I wouldn't say its a survivor. Its a restored numbers matching Z-11.
Can't say much for the disco photo slide show effects and bling on the ad either. Just state the facts, post clean clear pictures and let the car sell itself.
Survivor in my book is a car that looks every mile on the odometer she has traveled and then some, un-molested or refreshed.
Well taken care of or au natural paint but never resprayed.
Just my 2 dollars worth of opinion.

I thought most of these were built in late March?
Mike
-
Feb 4th was the release date
-
Z11 was in production from early February through early May at Norwood; early March through early May at Van Nuys. Approximately 40% were built in March.
-
Did anyone else notice the smallblock crossmember ?
-
how about the exhaust manifolds dated to May/June?
