Title: tag on coil spring.

It was really nice. I was wondering, should I take it off and put it in a scrapebook?

How does it compare to repro stickers? Can you post a pic?

Post by: william on July 11, 2012, 12:12:32 AM: I notice many restorations have the coil spring tags right there where everybody can see them. On my last '69 Z they were on the ends of the springs, out of sight inside the frame. I have never seen a coil spring tag in a vintage chassis photo.

That's how it is on my original 67...the tag is just up inside the chassis and out of sight unless you look up into that cavity.

I didnt see one on the drivers side and when trying to clean it a little more pulled this one off.

They may be dirty, deteriorate or have only a portion remaining. To Williams point, I'm sure most restorers install the tag after the spring is installed and place the tags where the spring coils are accessible and easy to reach.
