Title: 69 spring label colors?
Post by: KevinW on July 05, 2012, 03:14:53 PM
I have been trying to finish up the labels for my camaros, I figured out the LF7 should have had YA coils and BS monos, the L48 should have EL coils and BF multis.  Of course neither of those is reproed.  I am going to get Don to do them, but I do not know the colors? The part numbers are here, but no mention of colors.  The repro leaf spring decals are all yellow, is that correct?  Blue seems to be the default repro color for the coils.  Has there been any documentation on the label colors vs the part number/code?  thanks, Kevin

When I did the restoration on my front suspension, both of the coil springs still had their YA tags.  Light blue color.

My L48 has EM springs with a light blue label. Also have a set of YA with the light blue label.

I wonder if there was any real significance to the paper colors used or was it just a random selection.   ???
I know the fonts on many of the repos are not 100% correct but they sure are close enough.

I would think it is a visual aid for the factory workers to either stack them in the appropriate place or to pick them for installing.  I would think there should be a different color for each diff partno/code combo.  was hoping to get that info here :)

Mine were blue, maybe a different shade.
