Title: Here is a GM photo of a Delcotron sticker on a 1968 Camaro alternator

I found an official GM photo that shows that Delcotron alternators originally had stickers on them.  Maybe the sticker fell off soon after the car left the lot, so not many people remember them as originally being there.  Even virgin survivor cars may have had them fall off over the years. 

Anyway, attached is a photo of a reproduction Delcotron sticker and a photo of Figure 2c (black and white GM photo) on Page 6Y-8 of an original (not reprinted) "1968 Chevrolet, Chevelle, Camaro, Chevy II and Corvette Chassis Overhaul Manual" (dated 1967) showing that same sticker affixed to the top of the alternator, with the Delcotron text bottom pointing toward the pulley.

With the official GM documentation presented here, will the Legends Judges accept having this Delcotron sticker on an alternator at the 2012 Camaro Nationals?

Bernie, you can't go by pictures in the Chassis Service and Chassis Overhaul manuals. They're not necessarily "assembly line" correct. More often that not, the pictures are from a prior (or even earlier) year, for a different model (with reference to "all") or just service replacement parts. They can also be generic pictures that show a certain procedure (as in this case, which is a generic picture showing how to remove a single goove pulley).

Service manuals are not official GM documentation when it comes to how the car left the factory.

That's correct - photos in Shop Manuals/Overhaul Manuals are a poor reference source for originality determination; they frequently use all manner of sample/generic parts to illustrate specific Service procedures that may or may not be applicable to a particular car line.

I'd guess that Delco may have provided that service picture. It probably was one of their promo parts.
I've never seen one of those stickers on any car or in any original road test pictures.
