I would like to know what is the original finish for a '69 gas tank and straps......also, is there a book or a website that has all the factory colors and finishes for each part or do I have to post 3,247 questions? Don't mind posting, just didn't want to load up the forum......plus I like chattin' with y'all 8)

Jerry MacNeish's '69 Z/28 fact book has a component color and plating chart in it. Here what it says for... gas tank: natural finish, galvanized; gas tank straps: natural or semi-gloss black paint. You can get a copy of Jerry's book here... http://www.z28camaro.com/publications.html

In case you missed it the first time........ you guy's are too dad-gum quick on the draw......;D
Tank: Natural Finish, Galvanized
Straps: Semi-gloss black paint, no rubber insulators were used
And yes there is a books you can purchase that has excellent information on finishes. Written by CRG's own Jerry MacNeish; "The Definitive 1969 Camaro Z/28-SS396 Fact Book"

Chick – Excellent resource! I noticed that your link references 67 thru 69. Can you tell us what the similarities and differences are if any for the 3 yrs. It sure would be a handy addition to anyone’s reference material if those differences were noted on this same sheet.
I also noticed that several categories are left blank on both sides of the isle. Do you know if any have been updated?
Thanks!

That chart, which has been posted on other sites as well, states natural for gas tanks but LOS 67's may also have black. Reply #131 http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=5577.120
There's also another thread with the same reported info.
