Is the date on a mso the date the car was completed?

Is the date on a mso the date the car was completed?

It's usually the day the car was shipped (turned over to the shipper), or the following day.

Thanks John. I also posted this on NCRS. Has there been any comparison of the Vette shipping records to MSO dates?

Probably not - very few owners ever got a copy of the MSO, as the dealer had to turn it in to the DMV when they applied for the first title/registration; it was the car's legal "birth certificate".

My 70 Z is a 5E build and the date on the MSO is may 29th. I also have the MSO for a 69 z I sold.

Another thing is my car was a dealer transfer. You see the original dealer and then the MSO was transfered to the selling dealer. The original owner is listed also when the car was sold.

My 68 z/28 form Los Angeles is an 02E. MSO date is March 18th 1968
My 1969 ss396 from Norwood was built 08E. MSO date is Sept. 4th 1969

The Norwood Z i owned was a 8C build and the MSO was Aug 21.
