Post by: lcmc on April 02, 2012, 08:23:17 PM
Is 4053 Holley dated 8B3 to early for an engine with assembly date of 0307 of 69?

that is almost 13months apart Feb 3, 1968 for the carb and March 3 1969 for the engine. Most I have seen are around 90 days or so. My engine assembly date is Aug. 21, 1968 and the earliest dated part I have found so for is F24 8 which is June 24 1968 which is less than 90 days. So unless someone here smarter than me replys then I would have to say that the answer to your question is yes it is too early.

An 8B3 is 3rd week of Dec 1968
