I received an email from Mike Strickler this morning. He told me that Bill Jenkins passed away this morning.
May he rest in peace.

We will All miss him. Makes me sad. He had the coolest/fastest cars. 4 or 5 years ago I saw his ex pro stock vega at sema. Fell in love with it. The things he did were amazing.
Miss you GRUMPY !!!

Heard about it this morning as a friend called me and told me. Just talked to a guy a few weeks ago who talked to him when he was assisting the local fire company restore an old pumper engine. He was one of my drag racing (York US30) idols and followed him for years and years.
Rest in peace Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins, you were the best of the best!

I can remember seeing Bill Jenkins at the "Rock " when I was in my late teens and thinking about being that close to a professional drag racer. On one knew back then that he would become so well know, and respected by so many...My thoughts and prayers go out to his family...
He will be missed...
