Enlightening 1968 article on Roger Penske. courtesy of Mike K (Swede70). Roger was not very pleased with how he ended up being portrayed.

Thanks again Jon. In the '80's a friend used to work very close to the Penske compound in Reading. He was the consumate race fan and got to know the mechanics. They had a way to warn him when Roger was in town { flag upside down or something} so he wouldn't show up to hang out at lunch. He told me every square inch of the shop was spotless. A young mechanic had gotten married and was expecting a child. He went to Roger and ask if he could stop traveling with the teams so much and stay at the shop as he wanted to settle down. Roger fired him on the spot.

That is a very enjoyable article Jon, thanks for posting!! quite the shaker and mover Mr Penske isn't he? and quite amazing it was written back in 68.

How the heck do I print the article. I work for a Penske Dealership and I am sure others around here would like to see it. Maybe I can even get the General to autograph it for me.
Thanks,

You should be able to drag each page to the desktop of your computer (or right-click and save them) and then you can print the pages from there.

A humorous nickname for Roger that I have not heard before. This short article is from Competition Press & Autoweek. (Jon Mello Collection)
