Was it ever determined the correct position of the horns on a 69 Camaro? I see in the AIM manual (page 156) that it shows the high note horn on the driver side and the low note horn on the passenger side. Thus, the horns face slightly to the rear. However, it looks as if the post ended with the stipulaiton that the AIM manual was incorrect. Here is the link to that discussion.

So, what is the final determination? Do I follow the AIM manual or swap them around so they face slightly forward?
Thanks,
Steve

Based on the thread, it looks like forward facing is the way to go. That is how I have mine on both cars.

Here are how mine are placed

Forward facing would be more prone to water intruction making the horns go bad prematurely, not saying what is right or wrong, jsut point that fact out. Seems like there would be plenty of survivors and/or original photos to establish a pattern.
