Title: L30/M20
Post by: Ty on February 22, 2012, 05:59:01 PM
I have a 67 RS Camaro with vin number indicating V8.  The cowl tag says 2L and 4P (special engine with 4 speed in floor).  Build date of March.  The speedo cable is on the drivers side of column.  When I purchased the car in 1982 the drive train (motor, trans, and rear end) was not original.  At the time of purchase the car had been drag raced, but not cut up.  From the information I have read on line, it appears I have a L30/M20 car.  Am I correct, or is there another possibility?  Ruled out SS by speedo location.

If the cowl tag is original to the car and the speedo cable comes out in the area you describe, then it would seem to be an L30/M20 car.
