Title: Did 67 - 327 eng. have the lower Dipstick tube?
Post by: MyRed67 on February 13, 2012, 04:53:11 AM
Did a '67 - 327 eng. have the lower Oil Dipstick tube?   All of my Camaro resources show it only for '69.  But I have done a little checking and they show it for Corvettes and Chevelles, makes me wonder why it isn't listed for '67 Camaros????????

Yes, all V8 engines used a lower tube. In this case the small block is P/N 3876870 and was used from 65 through ???

Thanks Ed,
I found another post on here.  Plus I have done some more research, here's what I have found out.  I have the original upper tube, (which is on the outside of the block)#3876870 and I have the original Dipstick.  What I  was asking about is the lower tube "extension".  I believe the part # for that is 3951600.

Yep, I was looking at the wrong one. The number I posted above is the UPPER tube. 3951600 is the lower tube. Sorry about that.
