I have owned my 69 Camaro Convertable for 33 years. It has a 350 cu in engine with a 350 turbo hydro-matic. 2 bbl carb.
The tag on fire wall reads: ST69 12467 NOR 298823 BDY TR727 -- A PNT O4C X11. The numbers stamped on
the pad right side of engine is TO411HD. No VIN number is stamped on this pad. I was told the VIN should also be on this pad.
The color of the body is a light blue with white top. It has power sterring and power top. I have recently replaced the drum brakes
with power disc brakes. It has 138 thousand miles. Engine rebuilt at 98 thousand. Great running car.

The VIN moved to the cast part of the engine just above the oil filter about the start of th 69 calendar year.
-
The car was ordered with special paint so noted by the - A paint code. If it was originally a light blue it may be a '63 GM color used by Buick and Olds: Cirrus or Glacier Blue.
So yes, a special paint convertible is rare.
-
Interesting color. What state was it sold new in?
Robin's egg blue?
-
the car came from Nashville, TN. I live in Alabama.
-
Roll Tide!
How about a picture?
Is it close to Marty's special paint 69?
-
Contact the DMV in TN for a title history. They sometimes have dealer documentation in the file.

Go to www.arabcustomsandclassics.com and click on gallery. There is a good picture of it there that was made about 5 years ago.
I have replaced the white walls with BF Goodrick TA's since then.

checked out the photos, nice........ I hope you removed the "caution fan" decal... ;D ;D

WOW…can’t quite put my finger on it but something tells me I've seen that color before…man you have great taste!!!
Hey, don't feel bad about the fan sticker…I got the same crap for my car. These guys can be brutal! Something about mismatching the “F” word with Chevy…go figure. ??? ;)
You mentioned you've owned your car for 33yrs. What can you tell us about the color? And can you post pics of the trim tag & VIN? I sure would like to take a peak.

Hello Bill (Daldon)
Nice convertible! I noticed from your car club that you are in Arab. I might have to cruise down there to one of your blub 'cruise ins' this spring! My '69 Z28/RS sold new there in Arab by Joe V. Clayton Chevrolet. Do you have any contacts there? .. like finding out if they still have access to September '69 sales paperwork? :)

Gary
I do know a salesman there at Clayton Chevrolet. I will contact him tomorrow and find out if they have sales paperwork going back that far.
Our Local Cruise ins start the 4th Saturday Night in April. We meet at Son's BBQ north of Arab and Hwy 231. Starts at 5:30 PM and goes to
8:30 pm. Bring some friends.

tell him I'll buy a new Chevrolet from him if he can find my '69 Camaro paperwork. :)
Gary
-
Gary, will you buy a Camaro? haha good luck
-
For my original dealer paperwork... I'd probably buy whatever they wanted me to buy.. :)
.. but I like my old Camaro better than the new ones... :) I feel like I'm inside a bathtub with high sides in the new ones....
