Post by: penard on February 02, 2012, 04:13:50 PM
WE HAVE A IMPORTANT QUESTION !!

IT IS A NORMAL THAT THE ''ENGINE FRAME MOUNTS'' AT RIGHT ( PASSENGER SIDE ) IS MORE HIGHER THAT THE LEFT ( DRIVER SIDE ) ??

WE NOT SHURE IS THAT OUR ''ENGINE FRAME MOUNTS'' ARE CORRECTLY TO INSTALL FOR THIS MOMENT ??

BECAUSE , THAT DRIVES THE ENGINE TOWARDS THE LEFT ??

HOWEVER , OUR ''ENGINES FRAME MOUNTS'' HAVE 4 SMALL MARKS ON THE TOP , AND ACCORDING TO WHAT TO HAVE READ , ONLY THE ''ENGINE FRAME MOUNTS'' FOR Z-28 1969 HAS THESE SMALL MARKS ?? !1

AND MOREOVER , THAT OUR ''ENGINE FRAME MOUNTS'' OF LEFT HAS THE SMALL HOLE FOR THE ''CLUTCH RETURN SPRING'' !!

PLEASE , GIVE ME LET US CAN HAVE TO US AN ANSWER CLEAR CONCERNING THIS QUESTION, BECAUSE WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND WELL WHAT IS WRITTEN ON THE SITE OF ''C.R.G'' :-(( !!

AND  MOREOVER , ON THE IMAGE OF THE SITE IT SHOWS THE ''ENGINE FRAME MOUNTS'' OF THE BIG BLOCK WHICH THEM ARE HIGHER ON THE LEFT ( DRIVER SIDE ) WHAT MOVES ENGINE TOWARDS THE RIGHT , THUS OPPOSITE AS OF OUR ??

I WAIT YOUR ANSWER , THANK PAUL

PS ; SEE THE IMAGE OF OUR CAR FOR SEE THAT !

'69 Camaros [8 cylinder] used 3 distinct frame brackets:

307/327
302/350
396/427

The frame brackets only work with the motor mount designed for it.

307/327 originally used the non-interlock mount.
302/350/396/427 used the thicker interlock mount.

You CAN NOT mix any of these components.

Having said that I have no idea what the motor mounts in the photo are for. 73-74 Nova? They used a completely different frame bracket. My guess is the AutoZone guy sold you the wrong motor mounts.

I believe the 69 Z/28 frame mounts should have 507 and 508 as a part number on them.

69 302's didn't have interlock mounts from the factory did they? I had to take mine in for a recall, the dealer installed them.

Even though the 302/350 frame stands were designed for the interlock mount, those cars were involved in the recall.

The frame brackets in the photo are clearly different heights. 302/350 brackets are the same height. Unless corrected nothing will fit properly; exhaust, clutch linkage, shifter, hoses, fan shroud.
