I have one of the original body broadcast copies for my 67 L6 that is in immaculate condition. However, I don't see a lot of corrilation between the coding on the broadcast copy and RPO codes. While I can figure out most of the coding based on what I have that I know is original, should these codes mean something to me or only to the factory? Is there a code somewhere separate from the RPO codes that I should be looking at?

You won't find much on a broadcast copy that matches up directly with any RPO sales codes; those blocks simply contain number or alpha codes to identify specific part numbers of individual parts which that particular car required as it went down the line. After 1970 or so, the format changed completely, and it had all the RPO codes printed at the bottom.

Is there anything anywhere that you know of that would break down a broadcast sheet?

Found it several years ago behind the back seat when I removed it to have some upholstery work done. They're scarce but I guess I was just one of the lucky ones.

x77-69z28 - I've never found mine either, but I've heard of them being found:
on top of the gas tank below the trunk floor (you'd have to drop the gas tank)
inside seat springs
behind rear seat
behind door panels
behind sail panel
under carpeting
tucked up & under the dash
Does anyone know of other locations to look?
Like daytho1 says, you'd be very lucky to find it. They're usually long gone if you're not the original owner. GOOD LUCK!
