Title: Is this the oil pressure line hole?
Post by: 1967RS/SS on January 10, 2012, 03:19:42 AM
Is this the oil pressure gauge line hole and grommet just above the plastic ducting and to the right of the steering column boot?  The reason I am unsure is because my car also has an open hole behind the accelerator pedal.

If you mean the rubber thing, no.  That's what holds the firewall mat to the firewall. If you look from the engine side toward your firewall, you should see this rubber nib sticking out.

Need info.
What is your build date?
Is the console w/ gauges original to the car?

Early 67's with U17 had a 2 pc. oil line with a bulkhead connector on the firewall. Was changed to a 1pc. line and rubber plug as shown around 05 or 06
of 67.

I checked my NOR 67 with a trim tag date of 5B and the oil line is a 1 piece unit using the rubber grommet.

Do search ( oil lines for 67 cars with gauges ) . Check BrianK's reply #6 . Also discussed over on TC.
