Title: Dust Apron Stapling
Post by: tmodel66 on December 29, 2011, 06:15:07 PM
The dust aprons on inner fender were stapled from inboard with the rubber apron on the outboard side. In the AIM UPC 0 A8 shows the stapling process for the staple to go thru the rubber then the metal. Exact opposite of what I've saw on all cars including my previously untouched car. Can someone explain what I'm missing?

AIM UPC 11/13   B1  shows the proper way to staple the front inner fender seals.  I would guess that inner fender seals are an exception to the processes described in UPC 0 A8  :).

Some car lines had the seals on the engine side, and some had them on the wheel side; the illustrations in UPC 0 are "generic". UPC 11/13 shows the Camaro installation.

Thanks for clearing that up. I guess I read too much into it.
