Title: 1969 Quadrajet Numbers
Post by: tim69camaro on December 15, 2011, 10:15:04 AM
What does the "33" mean on this early 69 carb base in the photo? Should it have both the julian date code and this number?

I was thinking it was another date code, maybe the week of production for the throttle base. I have seen several 1967 and 1968 throttle bases with both stamps.

It very well could be. How does it compare to the build date on the carb itself?

248th day of 1968?  248/7=35.4 weeks.  Base made 2 weeks before carb was assembled.  Maybe?
