Does any one have the part number for the 1968 L6 distributor cam lubricator. The GM parts book shows 1852935 for both L6s and V8s which can't be right since the L6 lubricator is donut shaped while the V8 wick is straight. Any help would be appreciated. Joe.

That's a service part number designed to fit multiple applications. You probably won't find the "correct" one so you'll have to modify it.

I found two service part numbers: all except 8 cylinders is 1961088 and all 8 cylinders is 1949084.

Steve, great detective work!!
1961088 is the correct one (62-69 6 cylinder), but it was superceeded by the 1852935 in January of 1976, so finding one is going to be next to impossible.
The problem is finding the "correct" style. CLARKS CORVAIR (http://www.corvair.com/user-cgi/search.cgi?part=c531) shows the wick for the Corvair (same P/N by the way), on page 77 (item number 10), but there's a little asterisk next to the part, so I'm not sure if it's "right". Joe, you might want to give them a call.
However, I just spoke to Jeff at CALIFORNIA CORVAIR (http://www.californiacorvairparts.com/) (a friend of mine) and he said he probably has a few used ones. Would that work for you Joe?
