Title: Question about the hidden vins vs vin tag
Post by: cook_dw on December 03, 2011, 10:38:11 AM
I thought it was kinda odd that the hidden vin would be off one number vs the vin tag.  Assuming this is possible and chauking it up to human error but wanted to get some of the experts opinions.

This hidden vin is very hard to read but it too is 320496

It's not unusual for the dash VIN to be off one unit from the hidden VINs; it's not common, but it happened - operator error on the part of the assembler who indexed the hidden VIN stamper.
