Title: 68 camaro 1100794 alternator
Post by: SS396 on November 20, 2011, 07:17:00 AM
Could anybody tell me or post a picture of how the front and rear aluminium housings are bolted together in the correct position to each other. Ive looked at a few different pictures and some are different to others. Also was the pulley painted black or silver / gold cad.

Pulley - Silver Cad.

Maybe someone with a '68 AIM can help you out with the correct mounting position. If I had the AIM I'd post a pic. In the mean time, run a Advanced Search (upper left hand corner under your user info). Enter "Alternator 1100794" and you'll find several threads on this topic.

Here's a pic. from one of the other threads.   It looks to be correct, the Plug on thee back half lines up with the top adjusting bolt on the front half.
