Title: 69 Champagne color car
Post by: KurtS on November 11, 2011, 03:03:55 AM
It's a 69 Firebird, but very unusual to see any car in this color.  Way too soft a color for my tastes though, at least on this car.

I don't know. Looks pretty nice to me, and a Ram Air III also.

A friend of mine has a '69 Camaro convertible 6 banger that is champagne with a 723 interior. Nice looking car. Granted, it's not the flashiest color out there, but nice to see one of the less popular colors still running around.

I like because of of the paper (documents) that comes with it. What's that 350 HO they made only 2 ?
Here's a picture of the COPO clone I had posted about earlier.

I think that's a great color. But I think the interior would have been better served using a med red for an original car, and Burgundy for a clone/mod.

Austin Healey offered two shades of  champagne in the sixties. The darker one was for a special edition. Pontiac had a champagne that looked great on a GTO. Those colors were better than the  pastels that came out in the seventies.

I remember that COPO clone and think that looks better. No vinyl top and the tint is very different than that Firebird. Not sure which is correct or it if's just a camera issue.

Interesting, all the 723 int cars I've seen have been 63-63, no vinyl tops.
And only one other 63 car has been a convertible (L6 also).

I thought the same thing  Kurt about the tint.
