Title: Where can I get documentation for my California built 1968 Camaro?
Post by: 68ss4me on November 06, 2011, 07:15:28 PM
I have a California bulit 1968 Camaro and I would like to know how to get the original documentaion(build sheet, dealer sticker etc), so I know what the car came with. Is this possible?

Not unless it was delivered in Canada.  They kept records on their cars, the US records are gone.  There is an orphans section on the home page and some documentation is available for some cars.  Other than that, it's detective work.

An LA built car wouldn't have been delivered to Canada so that route won't work.

LA built Camaros [L Vin] often have a Body Broadcast Copy taped to the fuel tank. It is usually badly weathered and fragile but may still be there. Won't tell you everything but does have info.
