Title: Slot cars
Post by: Jon Mello on November 06, 2011, 04:40:09 AM
I always had Aurora HO slot cars as a kid. Sure had a lot of fun with those way back when. I had always liked the looks of the larger cars in the 1:32 and 1:24 scale but just never had them, probably because the tracks took more room. Several years ago, I bought an old '60s era 1:32 Revell track because I just liked the look of the Revell cars. My son is 9 now and I finally dug out that stuff and set it up today. Good times, once again!

had some Aurora for awhile ... then there was a 1/24th local hobby shop track (Hussein [Cooper w/Chrysler Hemi engine that Mecom had for AJ Foyt] body on all-wheel drive chassis) ... before that there was a friend's 1/32 (I ordered it, when it took too long to arrive he bought it) with a Lotus 18 and Cooper-Climax ... the Cooper had a long wheel-base and handled better
