Title: Grille color
Post by: ScottJon on November 05, 2011, 04:21:34 AM
i searched for this before Iim posting but haven't seen this so here goes.

How do i know whether my car would have had a black or grey grille when it left the factory ?

my car is a 1969 Z28,  Burnished Brown Metallic with Dover White stripes, the car was manufactured in Los Angeles if that matters?

Ive seen other burnished Brown cars with grey grilles and it looks great, i don't know what made a car have one over the other

The grille that is on mine is black, but i know the car was restored in 1990 by the previous owner and they made a LOT of mistakes that i am fixing. I want it to be as close to original as possible

thanks in advance everyone

Scott just a little heads up. Look at the top of this page and click on the big RED box in the right hand corner. Then at the very top of the page you can select any part of the car you want to research. I would suggest you read all of the topics there. Invaluable information for these cars.
