Title: 67 RS/SS color
Post by: Hidis67RS/SS on November 03, 2005, 02:11:03 AM
Just bought a 67 RS/SS it is white with a red interior and red nose stripe. The color on the tag is black with a deluxe gold interior,my question is what color would the nose stripe have been , thanks for any help Was thinking of putting it back to original but nobody knows what it would've been , said they've never seen gold interior with gold stripe. Thanks for all help!

The stripe would have been white. Interior color didn't have any bearing on the stripe color.

Gorries of Toronto sold black-on-gold Camaros with gold accents, called "Black Panther". Some of these cars had 427ci motors installed by the dealer. Here are some pictures of a small block Black Panther car restored by the origninal owner:

If your car was sold new in Canada, you can get a bulid sheet from GM of Canada. It won't cost you anything to find out if they have it in their records. Call George Zapora at 905-440-7636. If it turns out you have a car sold out of Gorries in Toronto, chances are you might've stumbled onto a very rare beast indeed.

I've been dabbling in camaros since I bought mine in '88 and have never seen that color combo.   That's one good looking car.    J.R.
