Another Ford guy question, Did they make? and how many if they did, 69 Big Block Camaros that came factory down the assembly line with Aluminium cylinder heads fitted, a mate told me the made 200 plus L89 69 Camaro's with these heads but i didn't think they did? you guys will know?

In short yes they did. In '68 there were 272 produced and '69 production was 311. All this can be found in the link below.

Great help guys, also whats the standard valve angle for both cast iron and Aluminium Big Block heads?

In the Corvette world, an L89 is a 427ci/435hp tripower engine (with Aluminum heads)... How is it that they used the same engine designation for a 396/375 (4bbl) engine in the Camaro by addiing aluminum heads?

L-89 doesn't describe the engine - it describes the L-89 option to add aluminum heads to an existing engine (the L-71 in the case of the Corvette, and the L-78 in the case of the Camaro).

Thank you John... I think I knew that already (at some point in the past :), but references to 'L89 engine'... threw me off...

Camaro factory documentation will list both L78 and L89.
