How were the fuel line clips (69 SS double line) originally coated? I can still see pale green in spots on my originals so it's hard to believe they were painted. Is any one making these by chance?
Thanks,
Doug

It is similar to a green dye. They are reproduced but incorrectly. The end of the tang is supposed to be square and the repops are like Mickey Mouse ears.

What's curious to me is that mine don't have tabs. I know the AIM indicates picture-wise the clips are tabbed but... ??? AMK's 5/16" green enamel clip I'm guessing is close to what the original color was but even those tabs are pointed, not to mention it's a single line clip. I'll just have to try to clean mine as best I can but with a 43 year old clip I'm not holding my breath.
Thanks for the comment.

Does anyone have any insight on the tabbed vs. non-tabbed clips? Year/model specific in theory or just millions of clips for millions of cars in big bins and if they were available and fit the application they were used. Just curious. Here's a couple of pics of mine.
Thanks
